Position Summary:
The Architect is responsible for delivering complete architectural projects from concept through construction. This includes design, documentation, coordination, and construction administration. The role requires managing multiple projects, leading design teams, and ensuring quality, budget, and schedule compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead architectural design from concept to construction documents and administration.
  • Manage multiple projects and coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Conduct design charrettes and translate client needs into buildable solutions.
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and design narratives.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, ADA, and federal/state/local regulations.
  • Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings during construction.
  • Perform site visits, field measurements, and condition assessments.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and support invoicing processes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior designers and drafters.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines (structural, MEP, etc.) for integrated design.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposals and presentations
Qualifications:
  • Licensure: Registered Architect (Florida, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia preferred).
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program.
  • Experience: 5+ years in architecture; 3+ years as a project architect or manager.
  • Federal Project Experience: Preferred (Defense or Civilian Agencies).
  • Certifications: LEED AP BD+C a plus.
  • Software: Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget across multiple projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience in all design phases, from planning to construction administration.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with contracts, legal procedures, and quality assurance.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport; ability to travel as needed.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (security clearance may be required).
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk uneven terrain and perform site visits.
  • Regularly sit, stand, walk, hear and use hands.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Visual acuity for detailed work and field observations.
